Night's Lullaby Breaking Dawn

Article Pic

S.LYNNE HORTON : Inspired Art & Poetry

Steady melody of pouring rain,

Heard yet not seen in the dark serene.

Mind lulled in senses,

Dreams in the dark pave way to life in the light.

Night passes along,

Reaching out to the new day.

Dark velvet with a misty haze,

Reaching out from the earth to the sky.

Quiet reflections rise,

From the earth's tempest encounter.

The sun kisses the moon mid-sky,

Bid your dreams good bye.

Showers from last night's slumber,

Rise to greet sun and sky,

Carrying your dreams by guidance of light of day.

As the cool, wet night that settled into the earth,

Now gives away its lullaby to the bright, warm sky.
