With the recent arrival of the fairest season, our thoughts now turn to the annual ritual of spring cleaning. Armed with brooms, mops and feather dusters, many of us are readying ourselves to tackle closets, floors and cabinets in need of purging and polishing. 
The ancient healing tradition of Ayurveda views health as more than the absence of disease; it is a state of physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. To achieve this state requires that we nurture our body's innate desire to live in balance. 
In my last post, I wrote about New Year's resolutions from a conscious creation/law of attraction perspective. I specifically addressed the importance of examining our beliefs and how such an analysis applies to setting and carrying through on our hoped-for resolutions. And, now that a month has passed, it's time for a status check. 
When you become a parent you experience a love like no other and the love between a parent and a child is the most pure and beautiful thing. It's also a tricky path to follow as your children grow from a baby to an adult. We love our children so much and their words and actions pull on our heartstrings when it comes to fostering a loving relationship with them. 
There is a place in my neighbourhood that I love. It's not that there's anything particularly distinctive or spectacular about this space. In fact, it's pretty nondescript. 
It's that time again, when many of us are grappling with the issue of New Year's resolutions. Should we make any? If so, which ones? How likely are they to succeed? And what will happen if they don't?

Fresh Spiritual Poetry 
What if everyone in the world acted as if we were part of each other's community, whether building barns, mourning our lost ones, or recovering from Mother Nature's power? Would we then know what it really means to be one? As caring humans we are awesome to behold in crisis. 
Recently, I've noticed, there's more traffic on the roads and I seem to find myself standing in more and more lineups. It must be that time of the year when many parents are out tearing apart shopping malls to find the perfect gift for their children.

If you spend a significant amount of time around children, you probably wouldn't think they needed motivation. Children naturally burst with energy and unprovoked enthusiasm. Heck, when was the last time you suddenly broke out into a hop, skip and a jump during a casual stroll? 
Anyone who's an artist-regardless of the medium in which one works - KNOWS that getting into the flow of one's consciousness is essential to successfully create finished works. Tapping into this rich resource of inspiration and knowledge provides access to the makings of all sorts of completed materialisations. 
Newcomers to the Enneagram are often curious about the 'nature or nurture' origin of a personality style. Are we born with our style or do we develop it in childhood? Is your Enneagram style 'caused' by one or the other? Or both? 
As infants, we live naturally in a state of whole body awareness; Vitality, curiosity, and passionate enthusiasm literally pours through our bodies as pure awareness. As children grow older, their cognitive awareness begins to develop. Children learn to rely less and less on body intelligence once mental intelligence kicks in. 
I heard the noise from the other room: the crack and shatter of something precious being broken in the bathroom. As a mom, I knew it would be bad, and that I just didn't want to look. 
Today I sit watching wave's crash against the shore, their sound rumbling and pounding against the beach. Whenever I go on retreat to the ocean I feel relaxed and filled with wonder. For me there is nothing like the ocean to sort out the neural paths in my brain, and soothe nerve endings often too stressed. 
This composition captures an interesting balance of masculine and feminine energies. 
From just inside the doorway I was watching my outdoor chipmunk friend stuff the peanuts I left into it's ever-expanding cheeks then scurry off. While waiting for it's return, my eyes wandered sideways to an old 'cross-hatch' drawing of mine, at eye level on our inside wall. 
French philosopher Rene Descartes made a name for himself in 1637 when he put forth the notion "I think, therefore I am". This simple observation succinctly encapsulated, for the first time in an easily understandable way, the sense of self-awareness that we've all embraced as self-evident.
